    I just don’t get it. That much difference from one year to the next. You guys must have horrible climate

      2011 was a typical spring, more or less. 2012 was not. March was extremely warm with bud break on everything. April had freezing temperatures and snow resulting in ~80% of Ontario’s apple crop being lost.

    Thanks, I know all about the misery of the lost apple crop . 2013 made up for that. Not sure whether I am all that unhappy with the snow still covering 1/2 of our haskaps and only slowly receding. Water levels have been too low and get a chance to replenished a bit. Had planned to take cuttings by the 2nd half of March but it’s more likely going to be middle of April. And this is South eastern Ontario
